Charter Section 3.02 states that City Council shall meet regularly at such times as prescribed by its rules, but not less frequently than twice each month. Pursuant to the Council Rules, Chapter 220 of the Codified Ordinances, regular meetings of Council shall be held in the Council Chambers at 27 East Main Street on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. and workshop meetings of City Council shall generally take place on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.
Purpose & Explanation
The attached proposed 2026 schedule adheres to the City’s Charter and established rules of Council.
Recess dates are based on holidays and the School District’s spring break. To accommodate workshops prior to all regular meetings, combined meetings are planned before/after recess periods as indicated.
Timing Considerations
Upon approval, the 2026 Council meeting schedule will be published on the City’s website.
