Purpose & Explanation
This legislation permits the City Manager to advertise in accordance with the applicable law a request for submission for competitive bids for the replacement of specific deteriorated concrete panels along SR 8 within the City of Hudson Corporation Limits.
Following the formal bid process, the City Engineer will review the bids and then submit the recommendation for award to the City Manager and City Council along with the necessary legislation to enter into a contract with the successful bidder.
Engineer's Estimate $54,000.
Timing Considerations
Upon authorization by City Council, the administration will advertise for formal bids.

Staff recommends City Council approve the resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to advertise and receive competitive bids for the replacement of specific deteriorated State Route 8 Concrete Road Panels and declaring an emergency for the public health and welfare in order to complete these panels due to their condition in the fall, 2014.
