Resolution No. 17-52 authorized the City Manager, or her designee, to submit a grant application to ReWorks.

Purpose & Explanation

The Summit/Akron Solid Waste Management Authority (dba ReWorks) awarded $22,262.00 in grant funding to support the City’s recycling collection facility, leaf collection, and related expenses.

Timing Considerations

After 30 days from passage of this Resolution, staff will submit a request to ReWorks for reimbursement of related expenses.

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that Council authorize the City Manager to accept a Community Recycling Access Grant from the Summit/Akron Solid Waste Management Authority (dba ReWorks) to support the City’s recycling program.
