Purpose & Explanation
Public Service Recognition Week has been celebrated nationally since 1985 during the first week of May and is a time set aside to honor the men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county and local government employees and ensure that our government is the best in the world.
Timing Consideration
With this Proclamation, the week of May 1-7, 2016, is officially designated as “Public Service Recognition Week” in Hudson, Ohio.

I encourage all citizens to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of government employees at all levels: federal, state, county, and city.
