Purpose & Explanation
As part of the Owen Brown service yard cleanup project and the removal of the majority of the construction spoils and debris, the Public Works Department has been able to create a large amount of new inventory and operational space. In doing so, crews created an earthen berm specifically for the planting of trees and to eliminate the view of the service yard operations from the adjacent residents residing in the Villas of Hudson. As part of this project steps were taken to make sure that storm water would runoff towards the south culvert along the railroad tracks. In establishing the final grades, Public Works staff purchased more stone than was originally estimated at an additional cost of $6,242.67. With the purchase of the additional stone, the total cost of the material will be $31,241.67
