Executive Summary: This Resolution provides recognition and thanks to Mrs. Shannon Kosko for her dedicated service as a member of the Park Board.

Purpose & Explanation
It is customary to publicly thank citizens who have volunteered their time and talents as a member of a Council-appointed meeting body. Mrs. Kosko was appointed to serve a full term on the Park Board on June 21, 2006, and she was re-appointed for an additional term in 2010. During Mrs. Kosko's term on the Park Board, her work on the community needs assessment, implementation of the community gardens, and assistance in planning Earth Day events was extremely helpful. She also provided valuable input towards the construction of Veterans Way Park, the Turnpike Trail and Maple Grove Trail. Her efforts working with other community organizations and coordinating volunteers will also be missed.
Timing Considerations
Mrs. Kosko resigned from the Park Board on February 24, 2014.
