Body
Legislative History
As of this writing the zoning map was last amended on April 18, 2011.
Purpose & Explanation
Application has been received for a zoning map change for part of 1975 Norton Road from District 1 - Suburban Residential Neighborhood to District 8 - Industrial/Business Park.  Attached is a map showing the existing and proposed zoning lines.  Council must conduct three readings and a public hearing on this matter.  It conducted its first reading April 17, 2013.
The applicant, KGK Landscaping and Design, proposes to develop the north half of the property for an office building and event venue.  The existing zoning does not permit these uses. The site of the development is surrounded on three sides by the proposed zoning.
PC conducted a public hearing and recommended that Council adopt the proposed ordinance that would amend the zoning map of the City as requested at its May 13, 2013 meeting.
Timing Considerations
Council's public hearing and third reading are scheduled for June 19, 2013.
Fiscal Impact
None
Recommendation
Suggested Action
