Purpose & Explanation

The City of Hudson diligently promotes open and transparent government by adhering to Ohio’s Public Records Law and Open Meetings Law.  These two laws together comprise Ohio’s “Sunshine Laws.”  For more information, refer to Ohio Sunshine Laws: An Open Government Resource Manual, available on the Ohio Attorney General’s website (see attached hyperlink).

Timing Considerations

The League of Women Voters Hudson is celebrating Sunshine Week during March 14-20, 2021, to recognize the importance of public access to government records and information.

The City of Hudson is committed to fostering transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement by providing public access to government records and information in accordance with Ohio’s Sunshine Laws.
