A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY MANAGER’S APPOINTMENT OF DR. JAMES R. BOEX TO SERVE AS THE CITY OF HUDSON’S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE SUMMIT COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH BOARD OF HEALTH FOR THE CURRENT TERM, EXPIRING ON DECEMBER 31, 2018, AND FOR A NEW FOUR-YEAR TERM COMMENCING ON JANUARY 1, 2019. 

Executive Summary:  Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code, Section 3709.07, City Council must approve the City Manager’s appointment of a City of Hudson representative to serve on the Summit County Public Health (SCPH) Board of Health.

Legislative History

Ordinance No. 91-36, “An Ordinance to Authorize the City Manager to Enter into a Contract with the Summit County General Health District,” passed May 6, 1991.

Motion No. 14-0091, Council approved the City Manager’s appointment of Larry Nichols as the City’s representative to serve on the SCPH Board of Health, passed December 3, 2014.

Purpose & Explanation

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code, Section 3709.07, the City Manager has appointed Dr. James Boex, to serve as the City’s representative on the SCPH Board of Health for the current and new terms; and City Council must formally approve this appointment.   The Board of Health meets monthly.
