Ellsworth Meadows' last turf equipment purchase was made in 2009.
Purpose & Explanation
The golf course is in need of replacing its contour rotary mower at this time based on age and condition. Staff obtained quotes from turf equipment companies and compared pricing and trade in values based on state term pricing. The total cost of the mower from Century Equipment is $29,563.05. The quote from Deere & Company was $35,416.05.
Timing Considerations
This equipment is needed for the 2015 growing season, therefore staff requests emergency language be added to the legislation.
