Purpose & Explanation

Hudson IT Dept. - UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) from CDW-G = $ 62,200
The UPS equipment is essential for the City network computer and phone system to properly function, protect the City network devices in the event of a power failure, and maintain regulated power to all equipment located throughout the building.

Hudson IT received three quotes:

                     $  72,877

The cost of $62,200 is below the state term vendor pricing for these items as listed on the Ohio State Term Schedule Number 534530.

Hudson Community Television (HCTV) - Audio/Visual Equipment for Boards and Commissions Meeting Room = $106,500.00

This includes the complete A/V system equipment including - cameras, microphones, and speakers (Vendor:  iVideo Technologies - State of Ohio Bid STS#800309), the system computer, Granicus encoder, and network switch in order to stream and record the public meetings in 2020 for the Boards and Commissions Meetings. 

Timing Considerations

If Council would like staff to move forward with the above purchases, Resolutions authorizing these purchases would appear on the September 17, 2019, Council meeting.
