Purpose & Explanation

There are several goals in creating qualification standards and related rules for the City’s boards and commissions.  They include: the fostering of well-informed board and commission members who are in touch with the daily activities and ever-changing challenges facing the City; the establishment of consistent and well attended board and commission meetings; and, to the extent reasonably practicable, the avoidance of conflicts of interest.
