Purpose & Explanation
Staff have utilized VETRO for the past three years and have found it to be the industry leader and sole provider of the VETRO FiberMap platform. While staff have evaluated alternative solutions, no other vendor has demonstrated the ability to match the functionality and capabilities currently provided by VETRO.
Accordingly, staff requests City Council authorization for the City Manager to enter into a three-year agreement with VETRO, Inc. for fiber mapping software to support Velocity Broadband’s planning, design, and asset management efforts. The proposed agreement has a total value of $46,500 over the three years and maintains the current annual rate of $15,500 for the duration of the three year term.
