Purpose & Explanation
The City Administration is requesting an update to the City's water distribution model that was last evaluated in 2009. The updated model will aid with future system planning, growth decisions and capital improvement programing. The updated model will also be used as part of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Asset Management Plan (passed as Senate Bill 2, July 2017) which all communities must produce and submit to the Ohio EPA.

The water distribution model will be updated to include current pressure and flow data, the latest capital improvements, GIS data, and water usage information. After the model is updated, it will be calibrated to reflect the most current system hydraulic and operational conditions. The calibrated model will then incorporate future growth projections, the City's 2015 Water System Rankings, and unconstructed, recommended improvements from the 2009 Master Water Plan to develop an updated, ranked list of the most critical capital improvements and cost estimates.
