A discussion with the Hudson City Council to extend the lease agreement for Destination Hudson, Inc. at Hudson Town Hall.

Brief Description:   The discussion is being introduced at Destination Hudson’s Request. The group representing Destination Hudson, Inc. will be present to discuss with City Council the lease agreement and continuing a 10-year lease with the City from 2025-2035.  The original lease agreement between the City of Hudson and Destination Hudson, Inc. was from April 16, 2015 to April 15, 2025.

Legislative History

Resolution No. 14-165, passed on December 17, 2014, authorized the City Manager to negotiate lease agreements for the use of Town Hall with the Hudson Fire Department Association, Hudson Fire Museum and Historical Education Society, and Destination Hudson Visitor and Education Center.

Resolution No. 15-35, passed March 17, 2015, authorized a Lease Agreement with Destination Hudson, Inc.

Purpose & Explanation

The lease extension will allow Destination Hudson to continue to occupy a portion of the first floor of Town Hall in downtown Hudson, extending their original lease another 10 years with the City, with an update to the lease agreement as needed.

Timing Considerations

The current lease agreement runs through April 15, 2025.  The Destination Hudson, Inc. would like to discuss the extension of their lease with City Council in case they need to make preparations for another location and space of the organization prior to the lease expiring.
