Purpose & Explanation

In the first quarter of 2017 Mr. Chris Bach presented details of the WWI Memorial Restoration Project to Hudson City Council. Mr. Bach had been working with groups at the local, state, and federal levels seeking grant funds and contributions to help see this project through to completion. Mr. Bach has also engaged the City’s Military and Verterans Commission regarding this project.  With the unexpected pandemic, the project was paused. As the project has been progressing in both planning and funding, Mr. Bach will update the City Council regarding project funding status, memorial restoration design details, and construction completion timelines.

Timing Considerations

Mr. Bach would  like to target the dedication of the newly restored memorial on Veterans Day, Monday  November 11, 2024.
