Body
Legislative History
Chapter 208.03 of the City’s Codified Ordinances requires City Council approval of the disposal of personal property if the property has an estimated value under $3,000.
Ordinance 98-114, amending the City’s Codified Ordinances, Section 208.03, Procedure for Disposal, relating to monies from sale of property; passed 8-19-1998.
Purpose & Explanation
The Golf Course is replacing a small utility vehicle and has been offered $3,050 on the trade-in of the old one. The trade-in vehicle is 20+ years old, and the department estimated its value at $500 and wasn’t usable for any other department. The new vehicle has a cost of $22,922.96 net of the trade-in and therefore does not require specific Council approval. The new vehicle is on State Term Schedule.
