Purpose & Explanation

From time to time, the City of Hudson experiences difficulties in recovering on its billings for Emergency Medical Services.  Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 131.02, the Attorney General is authorized to collect certain delinquent debts owed to a political subdivision, including, unpaid EMS bills.

Procedurally, the City of Hudson will still use its third-party collection vendor, Life Force Management, to conduct initial collection efforts (first, second, and third notice billing).  If the initial collection efforts fail to collect the debt, then the City of Hudson will send the delinquent account to the AG’s Office for collection.
