Executive Summary: The Hudson Police Department is requesting the purchase of three (3) new police vehicles per the 2015 Approved Budget, and in accordance with the approved fleet replacement schedule. These new police vehicles will replace three existing police vehicles. Further, the Hudson Police Chief recommends continuing the replacement vehicles to police utility vehicles (police version of the Ford Explorer).

Purpose & Explanation
Hudson Police currently have ten (10) marked police vehicles in use as regular patrol vehicles. These vehicles include three (3) Ford NGPI-U (Explorers); one (1) four-wheel drive capable Chevrolet Tahoe (supervisor's vehicle); two (2) Dodge Chargers; and four (4) Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors (CVPI's).
We would like to purchase three (23) of the all-wheel drive Ford NGPI-U's, at a total cost of $75,513.00 ($25,171.00 each) from Lebanon Ford which is State Bid pricing. Two other quotes were received, from Statewide Ford ($26,027), and GSA AutoChoice ($27,341.71). The three new police vehicles will replace V5, V9 and V10 (all 2011 Ford CVPI's), presently at 120,000, 100,000 and 99,000 miles respectively.
Timing Considerations
Purchase agreement and ordering would take place immediately upon approval of Council.
