Ohio Revised Code, Section 721.15 allows use of internet auctions to dispose of unneeded, obsolete, or unfit property.    

Purpose & Explanation

Staff has received pricing from several local auctioneers.  All of these auctioneers recommended and provided pricing for an online auction of items obtained through the purchase of 94 Owen Brown Street.  City of Hudson Ordinance 208.03 establishes that the City Council must approve the list of items to be auctioned.  Please see the attached list of items for consideration.   

Timing Considerations

With passage of this legislation, the City Manager can enter into a contract for the online auction, beginning 30 days after passage.
