Purpose & Explanation

Founded in 1920, the United States League of Women Voters has worked tirelessly to empower voters and defend democracy.  The League has become a trusted, nonpartisan, grassroots organization that champions government that is open, transparent, inclusive, and equitable.  This Proclamation celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the United States League of Women Voters.

We honor and congratulate the League of Women Voters of the United States on its 100th Anniversary and commend the League for its contributions to empower voters.
