Legislative History

City Council formally acknowledged the Hudson Emergency Operations Plan by a motion passed on March 21, 2017.

Purpose & Explanation

The City of Hudson and the Hudson community is immediately threatened by a Coronavirus outbreak/pandemic (COVID-19), a highly communicable and potentially fatal disease.  The current situation is upon us and is evolving daily, with the first local patient identified on March 13, 2020, and the duration of this hazardous disease is unknown.

Pursuant to the Hudson Emergency Operations Plan (HEOP) and based upon current and foreseeable needs during an emergency event, the City Manager in conjunction with the Mayor may exercise all necessary local emergency authority for response by issuing an Emergency Proclamation, thus enabling activation of the HEOP and the Hudson Emergency Operations Center.
