Purpose & Explanation

Through a Paddling Enhancement Grant awarded by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Parks and Watercraft, the City could receive 100% of the cost of an ADA compliant boat launch to be installed at Hudson Springs Park. An ADA compliant boat launch will make paddling at Hudson Springs Park easier for beginners, children, seniors and those with disabilities.  Estimated cost of the boat launch is $52,601.00. The launch would be installed by City staff.  No match is required for facilities that do not charge user fees.  The application opens January 1, 2023 and the deadline is March 1, 2023.
