Purpose & Explanation

Historically, the City of Hudson has had Hudson Public Power cost of service and rate studies developed by consulting firms specializing in municipal electric utilities.  The results of such studies have been used as guidelines for City Councils as they considered the Hudson Public Power operational costs of service and potential adjustments of commercial and residential electric rates.

Over the last ten years one (1) HPP costs of service and rate studies has been completed. This study was presented to City Council with recommendations for rate adjustments which were approved by Hudson City Council in 2015.  These studies are typically performed every five (5) years.
