Purpose & Explanation
The City of Hudson wishes to qualify for a tree-planting grant being offered through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.  The city service yard at 95 Owen Brown St. may qualify for tree-planting under the parameters of this grant.  This grant is up to $25,000 with matching city funds of $25,000.  The trees will provide visual and dust screening from  outdoor equipment storage and city vehicle traffic.  This City Council letter of support will be submitted along with twenty six (26) signatures on letters of support from adjacent property owners.
Timing Considerations
The attached draft letter of support needs to be included in the grant application.  If funded, tree planting would occur in April and May 2013.
