Purpose & Explanation
The project will include the replacement of a failed timber retaining wall, previously installed by the City of Hudson within a drainage easement. The timber wall has deteriorated and is falling into the drainage ditch that was constructed several decades ago. Portions of the retaining wall will be replaced and other areas along the drainage course will be sloped back, armored with turf matting, and restored to maintain flow within the ditch. A location map has been attached for reference. The project will also include tree and brush removal near the ditch and all site restoration.
Engineering staff has started the design of the project, which is now 50% complete. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the Summer of 2020.
The estimated project cost of construction plus 10% contingency is $80,000.
