This legislation is brought before City Council based on the Five-Year Plan and Budget discussions held earlier this year and the following proposed legislation currently before Council:
Proposed Res. No. 14-138, to adopt the Five-Year Plan 2015-2019;
Proposed Ord. No. 14-139, to make appropriations for the 2015 Budget;
Proposed Res. No. 14-150, to authorize a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Teamsters;
Proposed Res. No. 14-151, to authorize a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association.
Purpose & Explanation
This Ordinance authorizes an annual salary adjustment for the City's non-bargaining unit employees. The pay steps provided in the 2015 Pay Range Structure chart attached to the Ordinance have each been adjusted by a factor of 1.02 over the 2014 Pay Range Structure figures. The Five-Year Plan and Budget documents presented to City Council were based on this adjustment being factored in. Further, this tracks the adjustments that have been negotiated for calendar year 2015 in connection with compensation of City employees represented by the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, Teamsters Local 436, and Utility Workers Local 588.
