Purpose & Explanation
The Service Department patches city streets with cold patch material in the winter months and Dura-patch emulsion in the summer. In some cases certain areas beyond temporary repairs are scheduled for full depth removal and replacement by a specialized asphalt contractor.
Cardinal Asphalt Co. has performed very good work for the City under the existing contract and has submitted no increase in pricing to renew the contract per the contract language. A bid tabulation has been attached for review.
Staff wishes to renew the existing contract for an additional two (2) years.

Staff recommends City Council approve the resolution to allow the City Manager to renew the existing asphalt contract with Cardinal Asphalt Company, 1380 Orlen Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221 for contract full depth asphalt replacement services at the unit pricing specified for the contract renewal term of two (2) years.
