Purpose & Explanation
ODOT is required to request and receive legislation from the City of Hudson prior to making any repairs to State Highways within the corporate limits of the municipality. This request is for the installation of a noise wall along I-80 (Ohio Turnpike) within the corporation limits of the City of Hudson. The wall will be constructed within the property limits (R/W of the Turnpike). The limits of the work will be along a portion of Jesse Drive.
The City of Hudson will be required to participate with a local share - not to exceed cost of $145,000.00. The Turnpike Mitigation Grant in which the City of Hudson applied in 2014 will finance the remaining portion of the project. The estimated cost of the project in 2014 = $1,200,000. This is not a LPA project and Hudson will not be overseeing the design or construction. The project is currently under design by ODOT. The work is planned for construction in 2017-18.
