Body
Legislative History
Resolution No. 14-12, adoption of the Connectivity Plan, passed on February 19, 2014.
Purpose & Explanation
With there being various challenges in constructing a pathway along the Ohio Turnpike, it was determined that the north side of the Turnpike would work best for sections R & T of the City’s Connectivity Plan, which are considered “high priority” in the overall Plan.
With there being both Hudson Public Power and FE electric easements located on the north side of the turnpike, staff was asked to work with FE to review and discuss the possibility of using the FE easement to install the walkway in a way which might benefit each party.
Staff has initiated the first onsite meetings with FE representatives and wishes to report the current status of the proposed project to City Council members. Please see attached reference maps.
