Purpose & Explanation
In May 2015, the Fire Department accepted delivery of two new fire engines, replacing two 1994 engines (see attached description). The City would like to sell the old fire engines, which are no longer needed for municipal purposes. City Council will consider the City of Ravenna's expression of interest in purchasing one of the 1994 fire engines for a sum of $32,000, "as is" with no expressed or written warrantees (see attached letter). The Fire Department intends to sell the other fire engine through GovDeals.com.
Timing Considerations
Provided this offer is acceptable to City Council and pending final approvals by Ravenna officials, staff expects to finalize the sale with the City of Ravenna after September 8, 2015.
