Executive Summary: America Walks and the Every Body Walk! Collaborative are offering a micro-grant program designed to assist local walking advocates build momentum on the newly released Surgeon General’s Call to Action. Between ten to fifteen community groups will receive this one-time funding.

Purpose & Explanation
The America Walks micro-grant can provide funding of up to $2,500 towards Safe Routes Hudson’s programs to emphasize the importance of issues such as increasing physical activity, promoting independence among children, pedestrian and bicycle safety, traffic congestion, concern for the environment and building connections between families, schools and the broader community.
Timing Considerations
The deadline for application is October 15, 2015.
