Body

Legislative History

Replacement of two salt trucks has been proposed in the 2016 Budget.

Purpose & Explanation

The Diesel Emission Reduction Grant would provide funding of up to $237,000 towards the replacement of two snow plow and mud trucks: #7750 and #7752.  The replacement trucks are estimated at approximately $324,000 ($162,000 each).  The City of Hudson’s match would be approximately $86,000 ($43,000 each).  As a condition of this grant the trucks being replaced would need to be taken out of service and scrapped rather than being sold at public auction.

Timing Considerations

The grant application is due December 1, 2015.

Awards will be announced around January 15, 2016.

Fiscal Impact

Currently Budgeted (Pending 2016 Budget approval)
