Purpose & Explanation
This is a request to apply to AMATS as a joint applicant with the City of Stow for the Norton Road Resurfacing Project.
The total cost of the project will be split 50/50 between the City of Stow and the City of Hudson. Estimated total cost $308,000.
The City of Hudson acknowledges and understands the AMATS "Funding Policy Guidelines" and confirms to the best of its knowledge that the information contained in the project application is accurate, that it intends to diligently pursue this project as a joint applicant, and that a local share as described above is required to match federal funds.
Timing Considerations
Following the approval of City Council this legislation will be submitted to AMATS with the project application. If this project is approved for funding by AMATS, this project would be funded as soon as funds are available.

Suggested Action
Staff recommends that City Council approve this legislation authorizing the City of Hudson to apply as a joint applicant with the City of Stow for the purpose of applying for AMATS funding for the Norton Road Resurfacing Project. The City staff is also requesting that an emergency clause be added to this legislation in order to protect the welfare and safety of the public and to meet AMATS application deadlines.
