Purpose & Explanation
As per the 2016 approved Parks Department budget, Parks Department has solicited pricing for the replacement of three (3) mowers. The vehicles will be purchased through Baker Vehicle Systems, Inc. utilizing State of Ohio Contract Pricing #800237.
The purchase will include one wide area mower designed to cut large open areas and increase productivity. The two smaller mowers will cut smaller areas including playgrounds and parking lots and will reduce the required amount of string trimer time. To reduce the overall cost of the equipment purchase, three older units will be traded in. The final cost for the equipment after trade in will be $37,474.00.
Timing Considerations
Staff wishes to move forward quickly with the purchase to have the equipment on hand prior to the growing season.
