Purpose & Explanation

Staff seeks authorization to apply for grant funding for a study to assess the need for and feasibility of home fiber throughout Hudson, to develop a buildout strategy and determine a funding source.

Staff recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager or her designee to submit an application to the Ohio Development Services Agency for a Local Government Innovation Program Grant for the Velocity Broadband “Fiber to the Home” Feasibility Study.
