Executive Summary: The Summit County Emergency Management Agency provides funding for projects that provide for mitigation, preparedness, response and/or recovery in the area of emergency management. The program could provide up to $21,000 in funding for an all-terrain vehicle and trailer for the Fire Department.

Staff seeks authorization to apply for funding from the Summit County Emergency Management Agency for a Special Projects Grant for emergency management equipment, specifically for a Polaris ATV and trailer for the Fire Department, the approximate cost of which is $21,000.

Emergency language is being sought based on the grant application due date of March 7, 2016.
