Purpose & Explanation

Staff seeks authorization to apply for funding from the Summit County Emergency Management Agency for a Special Projects Grant for emergency management equipment, specifically for a Polaris ATV and trailer for the Fire Department, the approximate cost of which is $21,000.

Timing Considerations

Emergency language is being sought based on the grant application due date of March 7, 2016.

Staff recommends City Council authorize the City Manager or her designee to apply for a Special Projects Grant from the Summit County Emergency Management Agency to fund a Polaris ATV and trailer for the Fire Department.
