The City of Hudson received a grant from the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources Clean Ohio Trails Fund for construction of this project in the amount of $301,139.00 in October, 2013.

Purpose & Explanation
A Request for Qualifications for the above mentioned consulting services was advertised in the local newspaper. The following firms submitted qualification proposals for this project. The consultants were as follows:

1. Environmental Design Group (EDG)
2. Michael Baker International
3. Burgess & Niple
4. GPD Group

Based on a thorough review of the qualification statements submitted by the consultants by the City staff, we recommend Council award the consulting services to EDG at their fee of $102,052.54 as described in the agreement proposal.

We are requesting a 10% contingency to handle any minor changes in the scope of services that may occur during the course of the environmental and design services. The Total amount requested = $112,257.80.
Timing Considerations
The design would begin once the contract is approved by City Council. The construction is scheduled to begin in 2017-18 following the design phase.
