Purpose & Explanation
This Ordinance authorizes the addition of the Network Support Specialist to the City’s Pay Range Assignments Schedule. This position will be part of the Information Services (IS) Department and will replace staff moved to the Velocity Broadband Department. Filling this position with allow the IS Department to return to a proactive style of management. The placement of this position on the Pay Range Assignments Schedule was confirmed through the City’s classification ranking system.
Timing Considerations
Position will be added to the Pay Range Assignments Schedule with passage of this Ordinance. Emergency language has been included, and this Ordinance will take effect immediately upon passage in order to expedite the hiring process.
