The 2005, 2010, and 2015 Charter Review Commissions recommended Charter amendments to Sections 8.04, Park Board - Composition and Terms, and 8.05, Municipal Parks, which were approved by voters in the same years.
Purpose & Explanation
As a housekeeping measure, staff has proposed changes to incorporate the current Charter language found in Sections 8.04 and 8.05 into the following sections of the Codified Ordinances:
288.01 Establishment; Authority.
288.02 Park Board; Composition and Terms.
288.03 Funding.
Timing Considerations
Allowing for three readings, Council could take action on September 6, 2016.
