AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE ENGINEERING STANDARDS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION AND DIRECTING THEIR CODIFICATION INTO CHAPTER 1419, “ENGINEERING STANDARDS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION,” OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES.
Executive Summary: In an effort to streamline publication of the Codified Ordinances, City staff has recommended that the Engineering Standards for Infrastructure Construction be included in Chapter 1419, “Engineering Standards for Infrastructure Construction” of the Codified Ordinances. Additionally, Section 7 of the City of Hudson Engineering Standards for Infrastructure Construction was last updated in 2015, and staff would like to update this section to reflect various changes and the transfer of information from the Hudson Land Development Code to the Engineering Standards.

Purpose & Explanation
In an effort to streamline publication of the Codified Ordinances, City staff has recommended that the Engineering Standards for Infrastructure Construction be included in Chapter 1419, “Engineering Standards for Infrastructure Construction” of the Codified Ordinances. Additionally, staff would like to make updates to Sections 7 of the City of Hudson Engineering Standards for Infrastructure Construction to reflect various changes and the transfer of information from the Land Development Code to the Engineering Standards. (See changes attached.)
Timing Considerations
Codification will be implemented, and City staff will utilize the revised section as of the effective date of this Ordinance.

Staff recommends passage of this Ordinance adopting the Engineering Standards for Infrastructure Construction, including the changes suggested to Section 7, and directing their codification.
