Executive Summary:   Mayor Basil will proclaim the month of October, 2016, as “National Colonial Heritage Month” in Hudson.  On behalf of the Ezekial Richardson Chapter of the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, Sharon Snowden, President, will be in attendance to accept this Proclamation.

Purpose & Explanation

The National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century is a patriotic, genealogical and heraldry society founded in 1915.  The Ezekial Richardson Chapter was formed in 1979 by members in Hudson and Kent, and it now includes members in many northeast Ohio cities.  This local chapter promotes heraldry and research, and it supports charitable projects and education.

Timing Considerations

This Proclamation recognizes the month of October as “National Colonial Heritage Month” in Hudson.
