Purpose & Explanation
The contract for general landscaping services includes small projects and time and materials maintenance of public properties, downtown landscaping, and Greens shrubs and landscape beds. Aaron Landscaping, Inc. has held this contract with the city for the last four years. They have performed very well during this time with few, if any, issues. Aaron Landscaping, Inc. was the only bidder for the upcoming contract term despite four other companies pulling bid documents. Total annual estimated costs under this contract are $179,568.50 which represents an overall price reduction of 7.64% under the current pricing. A bid tabulation has been attached for review.
Timing Considerations
The current contract expires November 30, 2016. City staff wishes to have a contract in place prior to January 1, 2017.

Suggested Action
Staff recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract for general landscaping services with Aaron Landscaping, Inc., 3001 Towpath Trail, Suite G, Broadview Heights OH 44147, for January 1, 2017, to November 30, 2018, at the submitted unit prices at an annual amount not to exceed $179,568.50.
