Resolution No. 16-168, Council affirmed the application to the Burton D. Morgan Foundation for grant funding to purchase replacement transmission equipment (passed October 18, 2016).
Purpose & Explanation
In 2016 HCTV started experiencing issues with the picture quality of its channels. After investigating the cause of the issue, it was determined the 20 year old transmission equipment was starting to fail. A quotation was received from Time Warner Cable for replacement transmission equipment to correct an existing transmission quality issues. The quote covers the replacement of the equipment for 3 channels, installation and engineering services and has an expiration date of February 10, 2017.
The City Administration is requesting City Council approval to authorize the City Manager to award and enter into a contract with Time Warner Cable - Spectrum for the High Definition Transmission Equipment Replacement. The quoted cost of this project is $25,820.01

Upon authorization to proceed by the City Council, the administration will award and enter into a contract with Time Warner Cable - Spectrum for the above amounts.
