Purpose & Explanation
The May Pavilion at Hudson Springs Park is approximately 35 years old and needs replacing. The foundation and structure need repairs, the cost of which will surpass the replacement cost of a new structure. The Park Board agrees that replacing the pavilion now is needed. The total project cost is detailed below:

Demolition & Construction.............$40,000.00

The purchase of the new structure (Kit/materials) will be on STS contract #800240.

Timing Considerations
This pavilion is needed for the 2017 reservation season; therefore, staff requests emergency language be added to the legislation to expedite purchase and construction.
