Resolution No. 17-37 authorized the City Manager to apply for funding from the Summit Emergency Management Agency for a 2017 Special Projects Grant on behalf of the Hudson Police Department to benefit the Summit Metro Crash Response Team.
Resolution No. 17-47 authorized the City Manager to accept grant funding through the Summit County Emergency Management Agency on behalf of the Hudson Police Department to benefit the Summit Metro Crash Response Team.
Purpose & Explanation
The Summit Metro Crash Response Team, of which the City of Hudson is a member, has received $30,000 in grant funding from the Summit County Emergency Management Agency for a Faro Focus laser scanner. The Summit Metro Crash Team is seeking additional funding of approximately $40,000 for additional hardware accessories, SCENE software, FARO CrashZone software upgrade, 5-day onsite training for twelve team members, and warranty & maintenance package.
Timing Considerations
The Grants Coordinator and a Hudson Police Officer have been invited to present an application at the May 16, 2017 Traffic Records Coordinating Committee meeting in Columbus.
