Executive Summary: This Resolution provides recognition and thanks to Jennifer Barone for her dedicated service as a member of the Planning Commission.

Purpose & Explanation
It is customary to publicly thank citizens who have volunteered their time and talents as a member of a Council-appointed meeting body. Jennifer Barone was appointed by City Council on August 20, 2003, to serve a partial term on the Planning Commission, and she was re-appointed to three consecutive full terms commencing in 2005, 2009, and 2013. Mrs. Barone was elected and served as Vice Chair of the Planning Commission in 2008, 2009, 2013, and 2014; and she was elected and served as Chair in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2016. As Chair of the Planning Commission, Mrs. Barone also served as Chair of the Design Subcommittee on Development in Districts 6 & 8.
Timing Considerations
Mrs. Barone’s last term expired on January 1, 2017.
