Purpose & Explanation
As per the 2017 approved Parks Department budget, Parks staff has solicited pricing for the installation of the splash pad at Veterans Way Park. Utilizing U.S. Communities Cooperative Pricing Program contract #110179, the cost of installing splash pad and associated components is $157,880.00. The splash pad installation will be completed by GameTime, c/o David Williams & Associates, Inc.
The estimated annual maintenance expense for the splash pad and associated components is $4,000 - $5,000 for scheduled service, system cleaning, and winterization.
Timing Considerations
Staff wishes to move forward quickly with the installation to have the equipment installed and operating as soon as possible.
