Purpose & Explanation
The Public Properties Division contracts for refuse and recycling removal services in the downtown business area and for specified public properties. The current contract is a two (2) year term with an option to renew the contract for two (2) additional years if services are acceptable and pricing remains reasonable. The Public Works Department has been satisfied with AA Sanitation's performance over the term of the existing contract.
AA Sanitation has submitted renewal bid pricing to hold current pricing at $4.50 per receptacle per visit for a renewal contract term of two years. The current contract term expires on December 31, 2017. The renewal term will commence on January 1, 2018 and run through December 31, 2019. This contract will again be out to public bid for the term 2020-2021.
