Executive Summary:  The Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Medical Services, has awarded Hudson EMS $4,800.00 for training equipment.

Resolution No. 17-21 authorized the City Manager, or her designee, to apply for the grant, passed February 7, 2017.

Purpose & Explanation

The reimbursement grant will be used for the purchase of a Child CRISis Manikin.  The mannequin costs approximately $5,400.00 and the grant will cover $4,800.00 of that cost.

Timing Considerations

Grant funds must be used by December 31, 2017.

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager to accept grant funds from the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Medical Services on behalf of Hudson EMS.
